Boyfriend Cookies

I really have stepped up in trying new recipes lately. I wanted to find something sweet to make, but nothing too complicated. So after TWO Facebook friends wrote status' about making this Pinterest recipe - I knew it was what I was going to attempt next.

The Boyfriend Cookie is the name of this super delicious cookie and it is literally PACKED with ingredients. Keep in mind this makes literally a million cookies, so cut the recipe in half if you are just baking for a smaller group! Enjoy ;-)

Here is What You'll Need:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 (3.5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter chips
  • 1/2 cup M&M's
  • 1/2 cup Reese's Pieces (I didn't use these, too much PB for me)
Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

2. In a mixing bowl - cream butter and sugars.

3. Add pudding mix, eggs and vanilla. Combine flour and baking soda; add to creamed mixture and mix well.

4. Fold in chocolate chips and remaining candy.

3. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.

Lots of Updates: 36 Weeks!

How far along? 36 weeks 1 day, ONLY 27 days to go - woo!
Size of Baby? She is the size of a honeydew - up to 18 inches and at least 5.5 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Again, I throw on ANYTHING that fits whether that be maternity or not!
Sleep:  It's becoming a little hit or miss. Throughout the night I struggle with getting comfortable and baby girl has gotten so big it hurts when she moves, BUT when I am out - I am soooo deep in sleep!
Best moment this week: There has been several since my last post!
1. Finding out my sister and brother in law are having a BOY - so excited for him to get here! Now I just need to work on getting them to move back to Tennessee ;-)
2. We had an AMAZING couples baby shower this past weekend and it was SO MUCH fun! Savannah Jane got some super sweet stuff and got BIG items like her monitor and baby swing (thanks to her grandparents!!) We really are blessed with some amazing people in our lives.
3. I went to the doctor yesterday and baby girl has flipped! She is no longer breech, in fact she has almost dropped completely into "position!" I was 1 cm dilated and 60% effaced, which doesn't sound like much to me, but my doctor said it is a great thing to be making progress at 36 weeks with my first baby. Woo!
Miss Anything? Oh just the usual - I miss feeling "normal" but I am trying to enjoy and remember these moments while they are here - 27 days is not long!
Movement: Oh yeah, she is quite the busy body!
Food cravings: Still nothing out of the ordinary...
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: Yes, still having contractions regularly which my doctor reassured me this far along in my pregnancy that is expected and totally normal. So nothing to be concerned about!
Symptoms: Same stuff; exhaustion, achy back, swollen feet, puffy face - FUN! ;-)
Belly Button in or out? In, still! At this point, if it does "pop" I can handle four weeks of being an outie!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: I would be lying if I said I wasn't just a tad bit anxious for her arrival or that I don't cry at a drop of a hat, but otherwise fabulous!
Looking forward to: Finishing everything up as much as possible before Savannah Jane gets here! Also, the wonderful ladies in my Sunday School class are throwing us a Diapers and Wipes shower this weekend! So excited for that!

Happy Savannah Jane birth year + 34 weeks

Happy New Year friends! I am so excited for 2013 - I just can't help but think it will be the best year yet! Wishing you and your family a year full of blessings!
Okay, onto the Bumpdate...
How far along? 34 weeks - 42 days to go! Seeing that amount of days is overwhelming!
Size of Baby? She is the size of a butternut squash?! Last week was a pineapple, I must not know my fruits/vegetables because I for SURE thought a pineapple was bigger than this thing. Weighing almost 5 pounds and is almost 18 inches long. Phew!
Maternity clothes? Yes, I had to add a few shirts to my closet this week that were maternity, wah-wah....
Sleep: Good! Thank you Jesus! It's just super hard to get comfortable at first, but then I'm O-U-T!
Best moment this week: Most definitely Christmas! Savannah Jane got a TON of clothes, literally her entire closet is packed with clothes! Next, we have to work on stocking up on other necessities - diapers, wipes, burp cloths, wash cloths, bath tub, the list goes on and on - oh dear!
Miss Anything? Being able to do more intense work outs. It took me almost 40 minutes to WALK two miles the other day!
Movement: She moves all the time, I love it so much - even if half the time it is painful!
Food cravings: Chick Fila #1 with cheese and no pickles, just in case you want to bring me lunch ;-) I probably could eat that once a day. I don't think my pants would enjoy that though.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Eating too much.
Gender: Ribbons and pearls for our little GIRL!
Labor Signs: Yes, I have been having Braxton Hicks like crazy!
Symptoms: Swollen feet, achy back, exhaustion - just the normal stuff you would imagine for being 34 weeks along.
Belly Button in or out? In, for now...
Wedding rings on or off? On!
Mood: Pretty great!
Looking forward to: We are heading to Atlanta tomorrow after work for my sister and brother in laws' big gender reveal party! Woo - can't wait to find out if Savannah Jane will have a girl or boy cousin in June!! Hurry up Saturday night... eeek!!
